Mission Statement: The City of West Point Police Department strives to have one of the safest cities in the state and the country. We will accomplish this objective by raising the standards within the police department. We will form meaningful partnerships/relationships with the department’s employees, city management officials, and the communities; neighborhoods, businesses, Faith Base, and news media. We are committed to preventing and reducing crime using several methods: crime prevention programs, redevelopment of neighborhoods, community oriented policing, CompStat (Computer Statistic), citations, and arrest. We will hire and retain officers who are professional, committed, dedicated, educated, caring, and empathetic to all of whom we protect and serve.
Vision Statement: The City of West Point Police Department will maintain the highest level of integrity and will remain transparent at all times while working to improve the quality of life for those who live and visit our city.
