Due tocircumstances beyond the control of the municipal Court and in order to complywith public health guidance and applicable statutes and court rules, as well asguidelines and best practices provided by the Centers for Disease Control(CDC), the Georgia Department of Public Health and our local healthdepartments, along with guidelines established as best practices by the City’sgoverning authority:
IT IS ORDERED THAT, cases previously scheduled for arraignment or trial in theMunicipal Court on November 12, 2020; November 17, 2020; or November 19, 2020,are continued as follows:
Cases previously scheduled for arraignment on November 17, 2020, arenow scheduled for arraignment on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at 5:30 p.m.
Cases previously scheduled for bench trial or probationhearings on November 12, 2020, are now scheduled for Thursday, December 3,2020, at 5:30 p.m.
Cases previously scheduled for bench trial or probationhearings on November 19, 2020, are now scheduled for Thursday, December 3,2020, at 5:30 p.m.
Probationers shallcontinue under the terms and requirements of their sentences, includingreporting to their probation officer as directed.
Failure to appear onthe dates set forth above may result in adverse consequences, including,suspension of driving privileges, or issuance of a warrant for arrest for theaccused’s failure to appear.
